About Holland and "IBK".

Hello everyone,

I really want to write about the daily things in my blog! so sorry that it is now mostly about Kyokushin-related-political issues being addressed here...

I believe it is best that I have it straightened out than fabrication walking around, misinforming people.

Okay so about Holland and Mr. Jan de Bruin.

He left last year because Honbu appointed someone else as the representative of Holland. He tried to return stating that he was misled by another person's misinformation but simply it was not the right timing anymore.

The  fact is we always told him it is best to stay with what he knows because IKOK is far more strictly structured and it won't allow him to have "best of both worlds". He asked for a chance  and  promised he'd commit and will abide by rules. He was supposed to come to Japan but never did during his interim as Dojo Operator which was mandatory.

When we announced Willem's (the Dutch representative) new role, suddenly I was getting prompt emails from Jan and Nico. But Honbu did not see it fit to change Willem's role.

I wish him and Nico W, and  best of luck and hopefully the stories will not mislead people.

Also, I did not know what IBK was until I met Jon Bluming. And his explanation was it stood as international budo kai and had nothing to do with Kyokushin. See how easily fooled I was back then.

Just saying though, I liked Jan a lot the few times I met him. It is just one of those things that was not meant to be.

Mahalo~~~!
