Skin Care Haul + some tips and review.

Hello~~ to all those suffering the pollen allergy!
The wind is terrible here- even staying indoors the sneezing comes and goes.

I  had couple request about seasonal allergies and training (some ladies said their skin sensitivity increased after training). I will review supplements for allergies later.

Number one rule: Keep your skin clean but do not over cleanse. So what do you do after sweating? I recommend steam towel with a drop of aromatherapy oil. Make sure you don't burn yourself with the steam! But this really helps open pores and softens the skin. Do not rub the towel on your skin (this will increase sensitivity), just gently place it over your entire face- leave it on for a  minute and remove when it starts to cool. Don't leave your skin "bare", use toner or moisturizer after removing the towel.

So here are some products which I have been using for many years and is helpful calming the skin during the seasonal change.

(From Left to Right)

AHAVA Gentle Soothing Cleanser.
This is soap -free cleanser with minerals from the Dead Sea. It is gooey but lathers mildly. You feel it hydrating the skin while cleansing. Don't open your eyes while rinsing b/c it stings a bit more that other products I've used. It removes sunblock but does not remove eye make up.

Dr. Denis Gross Sunblock spf 45 Cream.
I had a lot of trouble with choosing the right sunblock. It really can irritate your skin! But this is really good, it stays on steadily even during training. Not greasy and smoothes over evenly. It is slightly whitish but after a while it blends into your skin color.

Dermalogica  Skin Hydrating Mask.
This is so great, I have been using it for some time now. You can use it as eye mask as well as a face mask. Whenever you need hydration this is the one to use. It is not oily.

Biotherm Eye Cream.
Any eye cream is useful to protect the sensitive area from the elements. Like now when the pollen is really dense and windy, you can apply it several times a day. It will heal irritation and hydrate your eye area. This is the first time I bought Biotherm but so far it is doing the job.

Hope this helps~ :)
