Most people who train seems to confuse the ability or the length of training (such as dans) equates character and integrity.
Many people seems to overlook Sosai lost most of his titled black belts when they went independent from Kyokushin in the early days.
Some did the way with no regrets and some did it in a way that left some regrets. I know the ones that had regrets actually came to Mother after Sosai had passed, to put a closure in their... relationship to Sosai. One can never know what it is like until you get there but I know they all had unfinished
conversation with Sosai that they closed it by speaking out to Mother.
Even when they were "legends" they still had things to work on- and they readily admitted them. Perhaps that is why they were able to go independent without using the name Kyokuhin.
